An evening in HOI AN, Vietnam | The City of Lanterns

Updated: May 30, 2020

This one-time famous trading port is today known for its exceptionally beautiful picturesque streets and merchant houses. Fuchsia Bougainvillea climbing up the rustic yellow merchant houses, beguiling riverside setting, wooden foot bridges & the quaint lantern lit nights well describes this charming old town.

Exploring the riverside at the dusk is an enchanting experience. On one side is the beautiful Thu Bồn River with colorful wooden boats and on the other side is the charming & entertaining lantern city with its bar & live music where thousands of tourists sit by the roadside to enjoy the serene beauty.

Tailoring is still hugely popular among tourists in Hoi An and A visit to HOI AN isn’t complete without a trip to its local tailor market. In the past six years, nearly a dozen boutiques, most of them owned by Europeans or Australians, have cropped up amid the historic old town’s recognizable lantern displays.

In the nightfall, the townscape becomes a vibrant and lively hub of trendy bistros, cafes, bars, artistic lounges and live music venues by the riverside amidst the hanging lanterns.

The eateries in the night food market along the narrow nostalgic street is a great place to enjoy the taste of Hoi An. Definitely try, Spring Rolls, Quang Noodles, Chicken Rice, Cao Lao and the Local beer which is dead cheap.

A perfect mix of history, culture, traditions with a hint of modernization, Hoi An is a place worth coming over and again.

We wish coming back to you soon HOI AN <3
